How Artificial Intelligence Is Transforming CX

#artificialintelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) is driving a great wave of contact center system and application overhauls and upgrades. In the past three years, AI has progressed from a concept with great potential to a practical set of technologies that are being used to reinvent the underpinnings of every contact center system and application. The market is in the early days of this transformation, but its potential is awe-inspiring, as it is going to touch every aspect of what is done in and by contact centers and the customer experience (CX) in general. For the past five decades, contact centers have functioned in basically the same fashion, enabled by as many as 45 different IT sectors of systems and applications. Over the years, vendors have enhanced their solutions and introduced many new features that have improved their performance, but the fundamental capabilities have remained the same.

This Robot Dog Has an AI Brain and Taught Itself to Walk in Just an Hour

#artificialintelligence

Ever seen a baby gazelle learn to walk? A fawn, which is basically a mammalian daddy longlegs, scrambles to its feet, falls, stands, and falls again. Eventually, it stands long enough to flail its toothpick-like legs into a series of near falls…ahem, steps. Amazingly, a few minutes after this endearing display, the fawn is hopping around like an old pro. Well, now we have a robot version of this classic Serengeti scene.

Invest in Beyond Imagination: The World's Most Advanced Humanoid Robot

#artificialintelligence

Beomni creates jobs by enabling physical work to be done through the robot anywhere in the world from the comfort of your home or office. We completed Phase 1 in 2021, building and commercially beta testing Beomni, the world's first General Purpose Humanoid Robot. And we completed the cognitive architectural design of its Omni-Purpose AI Brain and Cloud Platform. Join us in completing Phase 2 as we bring Beomni to market and complete development of its Omni-Purpose AI Brain. In some parts of the world, there are too few workers where they are desperately needed, while elsewhere there are billions of people, living in poverty, who are willing to work. Beomni is the solution, allowing people to work anywhere and revolutionizing trillion-dollar markets around the world.

Man Puts an AI Brain in a Microwave, It Tries to Kill Him

#artificialintelligence

Lucas Rizzotto, a YouTuber from Brazil, had no idea what to expect when he gave his Alexa powered smart microwave a brain transplant, replacing the Amazon... 21.04.2022, What he created is a frightening abomination of a poet with an affinity towards Hitler, the British crown and the ending of what it calls the parasitic American empire. Oh, and it wants to kill its creator. There is that, too.Rizzotto, who makes humorous videos about technology projects he builds, used an imaginary friend he had as a child who happened to be embodied in his family's microwave as inspiration. "Magnetron" was a turn-of-the-century British poet who served in World War I, lost his family to the war and later became an expert StarCraft player.

The Morning After: NVIDIA's new 'AI brain' for robots

Engadget

NVIDIA's move into robotics took another major step. NVIDIA is also helping robot creators with a new Isaac Nova Orin platform that includes two Jetson AGX Orin modules and the sensors needed for a robot to detect the world around it. The platform can handle up to six cameras, three LiDAR units and eight ultrasonic sensors. You might have to wait for NVIDIA's robot innovations, though. Most of this will come before the end of 2022, with a $399 for a basic Orin NX kit set to debut in Q4.

NVIDIA's more powerful 'AI brain' for robots is available now for $1,999

Engadget

If you've been eager to use NVIDIA's more powerful robotics'brain' for projects, you now have your chance -- provided you're willing to pay a premium. The company is now selling the Jetson AGX Orin developer kit for $1,999. The palm-sized computing device is now billed as eight times more powerful than Jetson AGX Xavier (275 trillion operations per second, or TOPS) thanks to its 12-core ARM Cortex-A78AE CPUs, Ampere-based GPU and upgrades to its AI accelerators, interfaces, memory bandwidth and sensor support. You'll have to wait a while longer for production-ready units. They'll be available in the fourth quarter of the year starting at $399 for a'basic' Orin NX kit with six CPU cores, a 1,792-core GPU, 8GB of RAM and 70 TOPS of performance.

How an AI brain with only one neuron could surpass humans

#artificialintelligence

A multi-disciplinary team of researchers from Technische Universität Berlin recently created a neural'network' that could one day surpass human brain power with a single neuron. Our brains have approximately 86 billion neurons. Combined, they make up one of the most advanced organic neural networks known to exist. Current state-of-the-art artificial intelligence systems attempt to emulate the human brain through the creation of multi-layered neural networks designed to cram as many neurons in as little space as possible. Unfortunately, such designs require massive amounts of power and produce outputs that pale in comparison to the robust, energy-efficient human brain. Per an article from The Register's Katyanna Quach, scientists estimate the costs for training just one neural "super network" to exceed that of a nearby space mission: Neural networks, and the amount of hardware needed to train them using huge data sets, are growing in size.

AI in War Means Deepfakes as Well as Killerbots

#artificialintelligence

Since 2014, Russia has played a dominant role in the civil war hostilities in Syria where the testing of technology fresh out of research and development has been applied to measure results, graded by software systems. Such military upgrades launched in Syria and in Yemen include the SS-21 Scarab, the Uran-9 and the Ratnick-4 (robotics). A four day drill was held in December 2019 in the Gulf of Oman and the Indian Ocean. Participants were Russia, Iran, and China whose cooperation, unity, and military exchanges were evident during the drills. Russia's involvement should be considered in the light of a strategy.

Intel's AI brains will give future laptops a new speed boost

#artificialintelligence

Intel's Nervana NNP-I chips are designed to be crammed into data centers for AI tasks like translating text or analyzing photos. It may not be obvious, but you're almost certainly using AI every day. Artificial intelligence-boosting hardware in your phone enables voice recognition and spots your friends in photos. In the cloud, it delivers search results and weeds out spam email. Next up for dedicated AI hardware will be your laptop, Intel expects.

Take a close-up look at Tesla's self-driving car computer and its two AI brains

#artificialintelligence

Tesla showed the computer at the Hot Chips conference. Designing your own chips is hard. But Tesla, one of the most aggressive developers of autonomous vehicle technology, thinks it's worth it. The company shared details Tuesday about how it fine-tuned the design of its AI chips so two of them are smart enough to power its cars' upcoming "full self-driving" abilities. Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk and his colleagues revealed the company's third-generation computing hardware in April.
